Waking up here...but where is here?

Liam walked through the northern forest of his home. He had trained with the others just like he did everyday and, as usual, he had the most wounds inflicted on him. Why did the trainers always single him out? He didn't have time to think about this as he saw the sky turn dark and shadows cast everywhere. "Night time already? It can't be." Liam said as he ran to the camp he and a couple of others lived at. The three people who were there were not who lived there. Instead, they were pitchblack and had yellow eyes. "What's going on here?" he asked, only to be attacked by one. Liam slashed his sword, heart's cleaver, and actually killed the creature. He kept fighting them off, hoping he could find any survivors. He soon found himself slashing blindly in the darkness. He would not be destroyed by those....demons...he had to keep fighting, even if he did not know where he would wind up.

Was it a few minutes, or a few hours? This he would never know His unconcious body was laying on what seemed to be tiny crystalized minerals. His sword layed there aswell, stuck in the sand like a sword in a stone. In reality, he was laying on sand on a beach on an island.

[Kairi]

Kairi raced up the beach. Where had he come from? He was on the ground, and she didn't recognise him. He didn't look like he came from there. "Hey, are you new here?" she asked, feeling like a complete idiot. She had a hard time getting used to seeing new people around here.

[liam]

Liam had woken up, but was in a slight daze. Had he hit his head? He stood up and was rubbing it slightly before he turned to look at a girl who was around his age. He wasn't sure whether or not to say anything but he knew he would have to now because she had asked him a question. He looked around and saw a strange enviornment. "I guess y-you could say that...but where is here?" he asked whilst taking his sword out of the sand and put it in it's sheath.

[Kairi]

"These are the Destiny Islands. Annd what do you mean?" she asked. How could he NOT know where they were? "I'm Kairi," she said, putting out her hand to shake. "Where ARE you from then?" she asked him. Who knew? He could e from another world.

Liam felt kind of nervous about shaking Kairi's hand but he did so as to be polite. "To b-be honest, I d-don't really know..I guess you c-could call it a limitless forest." he replied, hoping to stray away from the subject. He was confused enough as it is. He then realized something. "I almost f-forgot to introduce m-myself. My name is Liam. M-May I ask what yours is?" he asked, trying to be as polite as possible. He then felt the wind blow and his pointed ears were revealed, but he didn't have time to worry about hiding what he was.

[Kairi]

"I'm Kairi," she repeated. She noticed he shyed away from his home subject. She decided to ignore it. "But what on earth are you doing here?" she asked him. Perhaps...no never mind. She was conjuring up hopes and dreams from her mind, though he probably didn't know who any of her friends were.

[liam]

"Kairi...That's a-a beautiful name." he said, half-thining about it. He then heard her question about why he was here. "I-I don't know r-really...All I-I remember doing before I-I woke up here was fighting off these p-pitch black demons...th-then just slashing away a-at blinding darkness..." he said, knowing he could not avoid it.

[Kairi]

"Oh...oh!" she said thinking aloud. "Then they must be-" she said, cutting herself short. Did he know what a heartless was? Oh no. "Perhaps..." she said, trying to find a good way to put it. "Um...perhaps..."

[liam]

Liam heard Kairi exclaim something, but noticed she cut short. Did she know something about what he explained? "P-Perhaps what?" he asked, not sure he wanted an answer.

[Kairi]

"Umm...well..." she said. She wasn't sure if she should tell him about the heartless. "Perhaps the heartless took your world," she said quietly. Oh, please let him not know she thought. But wait...what if he knew Sora or Riku? Unlikely, but possible. That wouldn't be good. Then they might be in danger as well. She waited patiently though, so that she could ask at the right time.

[liam]

Liam heard what Kairi said about his world and was both in shock and confused. "Wh-What are y-you talking about? A-And what a-are the heartless?" he asked. He didn't believe what Kairi said about his world being taken, who would if they did not know about the heartless or other worlds.

[Kairi]

She breathed a sigh of releif. Thank heaven he didn't know. "Heartless...are creatures of the night with no though but kill and destroy," she said. "And it is possible...that our world was destroyed by them," she said quietly.

[liam]

Liam was unable to believe this. "I-I don't believe th-this...Th-This has got to b-be some k-kind of a dream...It..I-It just h-has to b-be..." Liam said, trying his best to hold tears back. He didn't believe this. His world...destoryed? It was easy to guess that he had been trying to keep himself from crying. He had never been able to hide his emotions perfectly.

[Kairi]

"It's ok...we'll think of something..." she said to him. She couldn't stop her own tears from racing down her face. She felt so bad for him. "We'll...find...a..." she said, before her sharp intake of air was too quick to speak. She had always had a soft spot for other people. How could she expect to soothe someone if she was the one who was crying?

[liam]

Liam saw Kairi was crying and had no clue why. Tears started to run down his face but he tried to comfort her. He did not know what to do in this situation. He was having no clue what happened. He had lost his world and landed on another, which he knew nothing about. He had no clue why he was the one who was spared by the darkness.
